  5. 5. Follow prompts for participant information. Activities will appear in Shopping Cart. Proceed to checkout.

Spotlight Theatre Production Class - 2322601

Robin Hood and his Merry Men (or Women!) are prepared to take the sneaky Sheriff of Nottingham down in this fun romp through the Sherwood Forest! Audition specifics will be available the week prior to auditions. Availability, audition, and experience will be factors considered in casting roles. There will be one day of auditions, and the next day will be the cast/family meeting and read through, and a more specific rehearsal calendar will be provided. Attendance during Tech/production wWeek is mandatory. Cast party will take place immediately after the final performance. All participants receive a show t-shirt. There is a $50 supply fee due to the instructor at the family meeting and read through. Auditions: Tues., May 8, 6:30-8:45p. First read through & parent meeting: Wed., May 9, 6:30-8:45p. Rehearsals: Tues., May 15-July 24, 6:30pm-8:45pm.

Spotlight Theatre Creative Team - 2322604

Students will work in concert with the production of Robin Hood: The Musical, and will be the primary team for all design elements, including set, lighting, sound, costume, and makeup. The class will include instruction, hands on experience, and will culminate in running the performances - working a job of their choosing. Dates correlate to facilitate the collaborative process. Students will receive a show t-shirt based on a design they create. Children can be in both the creative team class and the production (acting) class if they are interested. There is a supply fee of $25 payable directly to the instructor the first day of class. Students will attend the First Read Through and Parent Meeting on Wednesday, 5/9 from 6:30 - 8:45 pm. They will also be at all tech rehearsals and shows: Saturday, July 28th 10 am - 2 pm, Monday through Wednesday July 30th - Aug. 1st 6:00 to 8:45 pm, Thursday August 2nd - Saturday Aug 4th 6 pm, Saturday Aug. 4th 12:00 pm.

Spotlight Theatre Advanced Acting Production - 2322605

THIS REGISTRATION IS FOR AUDITIONS ONLY! IF YOU ARE SELECTED FOR THE CLASS, YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE CODE TO REGISTER AND PAY FOR THE PRODUCTION CLASS. This advanced acting class will delve into reading and adapting Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", culminating in performances! This class is by audition only; auditions are the first day of class (August 20th). Students will sign up prior to the audition, fill out an audition form, and bring the form to the audition. All interested students must attend auditions from 6:30-8:45 on August 20th. Families will be contacted within 24 hours with casting/selection. Once cast, students and parents will be provided a more specific rehearsal calendar. Attendance during Tech/Production Week is mandatory. Availability, audition, and experience will be factors considered in casting roles. Interested? Students/parents can come by the HSCC for a handout with pertinent information for the audition the week prior to Auditions. There is a $50 supply fee due directly to the instructor the first day of rehearsals.

Carolina Children's Theatre Production Class - 4322603

Just in time for the holidays, Carolina Children's Theatre brings you another family classic - Babes in Toyland. The villainous Barnaby has fallen in love with sweet Mistress Mary Quite Contrary. If he can't buy her love, then he'll force her to marry him by threatening to foreclose on her mother, the poor Widow Piper. Mary already has her heart set on marrying Barnaby's nephew Alan — but not if Barnaby can help it! This charming musical tale through the worlds of Mother Goose Land and Toyland will delight you and your entire family! Please note: If you are registered in the class, you are in the show! Auditions help us decide what role each child will play. Once you are registered for this production class, you will be assigned an audition time for Mon. Sep. 17. The audition times and class information will be sent out at the same time the week of Sep. 10. Callbacks are on Wed. Sep. 19. Please put aside that evening in case your child is asked to return - please note that not all children are requested to return for the second day. $60 production fee which helps to cover costumes, sets, scripts, props and supplies for the show is payable to the instructor on the first day.
